Yossi Benayoun’s goal in the 76th minute gave Israel a 1-0 win over Hungary in an international friendly match in Ramat Gan Stadium.

9,211 fans saw a first half with no goal opportunities from both sides. 14 minutes before the final whistle of the Polish referee Marcin Borski, Yossi Benayoun flicked the ball onto Hungary goalkeeper and it deflected into the net.
Israel will now play Greece in two World Cup qualifiers: first at home on March 28, and on April 1 away in Crete.
“This was not a high quality game but the win will give us more confidence before we play Greece", said Yossi Benayoun after the match. "In order to beat them we will have to play much better".
Israel's U21 national team beat Moldova 4:1 in Ness Ziona. Dudu Biton scored twice, Amir Lavi and Rahamim Tchekol completed the win. Israel will now play Kazakhstan on March 29th in the European Championship Qualifiers.
