UEFA has chosen the Israeli Football Association (IFA) to be the host of the nearest UEFA convention, which will deal with marketing and sponsorship. More than 50 Association representatives will arrive in Israel.
The Union of European Football Associations, UEFA, conducts continuing education programs in subjects relating to football associations. Usually, UEFA conduct the conventions in middle-European countries, but due to the request of the Israeli association, UEFA has chosen Tel Aviv for the nearest convention.
The IFA was surprised by the high number of associations to register for the convention, and due to the visitors request, the convention is to be extended by a further day, on which the 56 country representatives will enjoy a trip to Jerusalem and will visit The Western Wall and the Old City.
Representatives from England, Northern Ireland, Switzerland, Romania, Czech Republic and Turkey will only be part of the 29 country representatives to take part in the convention itself, which will deal with marketing and sponsorship.
The convention will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Tel Aviv.
