Beitar Jerusalem won the Israeli Cup for the second consecutive time, after beating League champions, Maccabi Haifa, 2:1 in the cup final, and denied Haifa from winning a domestic 'double'.
In front of almost 40,000 fans at the Ramat Gan Stadium,Christian Alvarez gave Beitar the lead with a header (19).
Aviram Baruchyan scored Beitar's second goal (38) and gave the cup holders a promising 2-0 lead at half-time.
Beitar's Eliran Danin was dismissed by referee Alon Yefet with 12 minutes remaining, but Maccabi Haifa was only able to score once from Biram Kayal penalty two minutes from time.
Joined Beitar Captains David Amsalem and Arik Benado accepted the cup from Israeli president, Shimon Peres, and IFA Chairman Avi Luzon.
